Old Market of Leuven

Sight A historic square with cobble-stones, surrounded by 18th century to present-day buildings, including the Old University's University Hall and Holy Trinity College, hosting various events and nicknamed the "longest bar in the world" due to its many catering establishments.

Heilige Geestcollege

Sight A 14th-century college founded by Louis de Rycke to house poor students of the Faculty of Theology, later a hall of residence and eventually a protected monument after significant damage during World War II.

St Anne's College

Sight A historic college established in 1553 through a bequest by Nicolas Goblet for poor students, renovated in the mid-18th century, and later sold in 1806, currently housing a notary's office.

College van Premonstreit

Sight A Premonstratensian College was a house of studies for the training of the order's theologians, founded in 1571 and later housing the Physics Institute of the Catholic University of Leuven. The building was listed as a public monument in 1942 and the whole structure in 2009.

Royal College Leuven

Sight A historic building that was a priest seminary from 1579 to 1797, and later hosted the departments of Biology (1818-1835) and Dierkunde (1835-present) of the Katholieke Universiteit Leuven.

Saint-Michaels' church

Sight This former Jesuit church was built in the period 1650-1671 and features a striking Baroque design inspired by the Il Gesù in Rome. Its ornate facade presents itself as the most notable architectural element of the church.

Sint-Michielsstraat (Leuven)

Sight A predominantly academic street in Leuven, connecting the Naamsestraat with the Hogeschoolplein, dominated by the façade of the Maria-Theresia- and Veteranencollege building. The street's appearance has evolved over centuries, with various names and architectural styles.
